Default Accordion plug-in

Can anyone recommend a decent, reasonably priced accordion plug-in that'll be compatible with PT 8.0.3"

You'll need the VST to RTAS wrapper for Peti.

The free/lite version of IK SampleTank used to have one also.

This post reminded me of walking into Goodman music here in L.A. some years ago where a gigantic sign read…

“Use an accordion… Go to jail”

I though at the time after recording at least a half dozen accordion albums... I'm in trouble.

Uses the Kontakt player, you don't need the full version. $200, but the demos sound very good, and has a variety of accordions.

It scares me that you guys even know of good accordion plugs. How much time do you guys have on your hands...

Reminds of a good banjo joke (or trombone, or ukelele, or insert you favorite instrument here):

What's the best sound an accordion ever made?

The crash as it slammed into the bottom of a garbage dumpster.

So my wife is Romanian and her family loves Klezmer music. Oi! I have to endure the stuff everytime we go home! The neighbor brings his accordion over and we try to play Klezmer together. Either he has no sense of time or Klezmer's rules defy the laws of physics. I swear he's playing in 5/4!

And then, he went out and bought an electronic accordion with midi!! OMG... now he's the entire friggin' band. He always wanted to play those crazy Clarinet lines himself.

Of course he doesn't speak a word of english either, so it's always...

a'vonn, dooooh, tree, and-a-four...

(and if you know Klezmer, you know that's at about 240 bpm)

The main genre of music I work with is dominated by harmonium and tumbi.

Virtually every time a Mariachi band comes into the studio we get an Accordion player, they’re actually a lot of fun.
