Default No mbox2 power. Help!

i just got my new mac mini, dual 2.26 with 4 gigs and 10.6.2. i plugged in my mbox2 and no lights came on. it was working just a few minuets ago with my old mac mini. any help would be awesome.thank you.

Have you tried plugging it back in to your old Mac Mini?

Your mbox2 should power up by just hooking the USB port and you should be able to see the front panel blinking green. If not send it for repair.

nonono...

There are plenty of reasons why an MBox might not light up, beyond needing repair. A missing/corrupt driver, communication problems, faulty USB cable, bad USB port... don't just assume that it's busted because it doesn't light up.

Try plugging it into more than one computer with PT installed as well, to diagnose that it is in fact the MBox having problems, and not the computer itself.
