001 Input Question

Searched the Forum but no luck....

I've been using the 001 Optical input with a Behringer Mic Pre with no problems. I recently purchased another Behringer Mic Pre to utilize the 001's 1-8 analog inputs but have had no luck. The signal chain is Mic Line/XLR Input on Mic Pre/XLR Output from Mic Pre/1/4 Input to 001.
I was told that this would be possible so that I could use a total of 16 inputs (8 analog & 8 digital). I checked all of the 001 Inputs with a direct signal from a bass guitar and received a line level.

The analog outputs from your new Behringer piece should be patched to the line inputs on the DIGI001, not the XLR inputs. Get an 8 channel multicable with XLR females on one end, and TRS plugs on the other.

Thanks for the suggestion..... I ended up solving the problem by looping a lightpipe in the Behringer Ultragain Pro-8's ADAT Digital I/O (from the IN to the OUT of the same unit).

Everything is a go!
