Dual Monitors and KVM switch
Hello DUC:
Just a quick question. I am planning on doing a dual monitor set up with my studio. However, I have a second computer in the studio that I use for internet, word processing ect... Is there any way that I can use one of the monitors from the recording computer in conjunction with the non-music computer utilizin a KVM (Keyboard/video/mouse) switch? I was wondering if anyone had done this with a dual monitor setup. I have a buddy of mine who has a similar set up but only one monitor and he has a KVM that works just fine. I just wasn't sure if the Dual monitor set up would not work with a KVM. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, that'd be great. Thanks a Ton - Scott

Usually a KVM is to use One monitor with multiple computers. Using PrtScrn you toggle from system to system using the same monitor/mouse/keyboard.

just use one monitor with the kvm and hook the other up to the daw's second monitor output. that's what i do.
