You need to order the fader assemblies form Avid.

Does anyone have a part number for the carbon faders? Is it different from the part number for the plastic faders? I've had fighting faders since day one (about 4 years ago), and I just pulled and cleaned one bank of 8, and I thought that they looked like carbon. We'll see if this solves the problem, at least temporarily. The part number on my faders is 9750-60127-00 and another number is 0510 Rev. A (maybe a date code?). Thanks.

Do you mean the connector where it plugs onto a board in the frame, or does the plastic fader have one at the fader and one that plugs onto the board in the frame?

I did the swap today, what a huge difference!
Its a new console again!
$80 per fader.

Also, I now have 24 of the original faders for sale at $15 a pop, i would say 16 are fine and 8 are cranky
I will dig up part #

plastics have a double connector cable, one on the fader and one on the board
the carbons are soldered to the fader, and a connector to the board

Did you buy carbon? From AVID or third party?
