Default whats the best instructional dvd/book for PTLE?

almost everything i have learned re. music/theory/etc...i have taught myself...

after several months of off-and-on dedication at learning PTLE...i have come to the realization that this program is too vast and too complex for me to learn on my own and fully utilize the features that are possible.

any opinions as to which is the best instructional dvd/book/etc for beginners?? i am completely new to the whole audio engineering thing...and i feel as if i know maybe 2-4% of PT's capabilities.

thanks in advance!

I worked out of the 101 book a few years ago and liked it a lot, straight forward and not a lot of BS.

I have also read "Producing in the Home studio with PT" I think it was the 1st edition I read it when I first go into recording and thought it was completely worthless.

Musicians guide to Pro Tools by John Keane, i hate reading and i read this back to back. Pro Tools through the eyes of an engineer basically. Covers everything with examples, it's a must.

Cheers

Very informative DVD's, taught me more in two days than I'd learnt in two years!

After checking out many books and DVD's, I had, and still have, a really good experience with "ProTools For Musicians and Songwriters" by Gina Fant-Saez. Gina really knows her stuff, and knows how to communicate. She's very impressive, without trying to impress....I'm a fan. Also, as someone else mentioned, "Secrets Of The Pros' is another great source....really well done.

It's a frustrating learning curve... but worth it.
