eleven aax dsp not functioning

Hi - I've had a search about, and people seem to be getting Eleven to work with HDX. I've had no luck here. I get the following error:

'The Plug-in could not be made active
because a DAE error was encountered.
Plug-in uses features not available on this
DSP architecture.'

I've downloaded and installed the latest version from the Avid site.
Obv I've got a valid license on my iloks

I'm running

HDX1 with 8x8x8
osx 10.8.3
Protools 10.3
8core westmere macpro with 16gb ram

What exact version of Eleven is installed?

Have you cleared out old HD/TDM plugins? That is all that will be happening here and us exactly what the error message is telling you.

Was this an existing session? What happens in a new session if you try to insert a eleven plug in?

Hi!

yup all obvious things done. The Eleven aax version from the latest 10.3.3 installer is the only eleven plugin in my system. No .dpm versions of eleven are on my rig.

Behaviour is the same when instantiating plugin in any situation/session

Eleven plugin is present in aax folder

A bit bemusing...

This likely will be caused by an obvious error/mistake (once you find it...).

Be paranoid: Shutdown Pro Tools. Delete all Eleven plugins TDM, RTAS and AAX (make sure you are looking in the old RTAS/TDM and new AAX plugin locations). Empty the Trash. Reboot. Start up Pro Tools and make sure no Eleven plug-ins load, shutdown Pro Tools and then and run the latest Eleven AAX installer again. Start up Pro Tools and see if things work. If not then delete prefs and database (make sure you follow the correct instructions for your OS X version to make sure you delete user Library prefs (e.g. how to show ~User/Library if it is hidden)).

hmm - unfortunately - I've done all this (and actually have - this is my job!!!)
