S6 Layouts not remembering settings

Hello,

Having some problems on the S6 tried on a few of our consoles, example of the problem simplified...

Pro Tools session 12 tracks
4 FX
4 BG
4 FOL

S6 Create layouts for each FX BG FOL

On FX I want the S6 layout to display EQs when I recall it, on BG I want the S6 to display Dynamics and on FOL I want sends... When choosing any of these and hitting store then going back to different layouts the S6 just defaults back to sends. I have ignore functions on layout recall unticked, tried on and off because why not but same issue.. In the s6 operation manual; Layouts can remember each channel’s Knob Module and Display Module settings.

Not in this case anyone seeing the same or know a work around or fix? Thanks

S6 Version Master Module is on 2021.10
Pro Tools 2021.12

Yes - you should be able associate knob function view changes with the layout. As a test can you recall your FOL Layout, then hit All, then press Pan for example. Hit Store - as a new layout. Close your layouts and recall FOL once again. Does it show Pan?

Thanks for your reply, I've tried this and it does work but if i then recall another layout and go back to FOL it just defaults back to sends.

Understood. Can you please send me an example session which contains this layout data so I can take a look and then pass it on to engineering? No media is necessary, just the session file. Thanks much.

I've also noticed this function disappear. Old layouts with processing attentioned and saved recall correctly. However, any time I try and update them or create a new layout with a saved processing state - it forgets it when recalling another layout.

I have 2 S6's here, one on 2021.10 & 2020.11.

I'm not seeing this issue with 2020.11 but I am seeing it on 2021.10 with the user settings you mentioned, I can confirm this is a bug with the latest S6 firmware.

Hello,

After some further investigation we were running 2021.10.0.96 seeing this issue, now running 2021.10.1.29 and no longer seeing this.

We were unaware of this small increment firmware update, I appreciate everyones time on this.
