Transfering sequences?
I was just wondering if I can transfer my sequences from my Roland xp-80 to the sequencer in the Digi 001,or to another sequence program that will work with pro tools le(emagic, cakewalk?)I'll be using a blue & white mac g3 if that has anything to do with it.Thanks!

Re: Transfering sequences?
It depends on how you store the sequences on the xp80. If it can save it's sequences as "Standard Midi Files", then virtually any major sequencer on the market will be able to import it, including PTLE - assuming the Mac can get to the file.
The other factor is on what medium does the xp80 store files? If it's a floppy disk AND it's either a Mac or a DOS-formatted floppy, then a Mac can read it. EXCEPT for the G4s which don't have a floppy drive. I've gotten around this "no-floppy" problem so far by e-mailing myself files from my PC to my Mac, since my PC has a floppy disk. You can also purchase an external USB floppy drive for a G4. ------------------ LW
