Default How to Record multiple tracks in pro tools?

ok when i first open pro tools to record it works fine. but then when i add another track AUDIO 2.. OR AUDIO 3 ETC.. those do not want to record.. and only AUDIO 1 records?? thanks

If you only work solo and only need to record a single input at any one time, you can go to the IO setup page>Input tab and delete the other input paths(so input 1 is the only available input and will ALWAYS be selected by default). You should spend some time with the manual(and youtube) and become familiar with the IO setup window. You can customize it to make your work flow smoother and faster

Also it's a good idea to name your tracks accordingly, ex. Bass, Guitar, Vocal, it will make things much easier for you.

Amen to that. A little detail work up front makes for a smooth project. You could also build a template session that has everything you usually need, like all tracks with names and input settings done, a few AUX tracks with your usual reverbs, a click track, and even the basic plugins you use the most. Add all this to a new session and choose File>Save as Template, and you can be into each new project fast and easy
