MIDI pattern + External Synthesizer
I've dragged and dropped an 8 bar MIDI pattern from Maschine onto a MIDI track in Protools. Below this I have a mono audio track with the Input set to Interface Input 2 where my external synth (Slim Phatty) is connected. I can record the SP fine by playing it using a MIDI keyboard.
What I want is somehow record an 8 bar pattern with the MIDI pattern above triggering the SP. I can try to play and record it but I won't be able to get it perfectly as my MIDI pattern. Is there a way to have the MIDI pattern trigger my Slim Phatty during recording? |

Re: MIDI pattern + External Synthesizer
Does the Moog Slim Phatty have a built-in MIDI Interface, possibly USB? A MIDI Interface connection is what you need to send the MIDI event data to the Slim Phatty.

Re: MIDI pattern + External Synthesizer
Correct. You would want to have a midi cable from your interface or from the computer going to the midi in of the Phatty.
