Lexicon PCM Native Reverb v. 1.3.8

Hi all,

MacPro 5,1 12 core, MacOS 12.10.1, PTHD 12.6.1 on HDX

Anyone using the new 1.3.8 version of the Lexicon PCM Native Reverb? 1.3.7 which came out 2 YEARS AGO causes 100% repro CPU spikes on my HDX system at low buffer sizes and I was hoping 1.3.8 fixed this.

It does not, and in fact causes sessions to hang on session closing for up to 15 sec.

Anyone else with an HDX system have this problem?

Please, only reply of you actually have the PCM Native Reverb and an HDX system. Thanks!

using LexiNativePCM 1.3.8 on an HDX system. Runs very well. No CPU spikes that I have seen. It is my go to verb. In almost every session.

We can’t seem to even keep the Lexicon Native Reverb plug-ins in the plugin folder without getting crashes that take down the Mac. They sound great, but buggy as hell.

Sorry to hear that guys. We're not seeing issues with this version. We have it on 5 different machines with various operating systems and hardware. Not trying to rub it in, just suggesting that there's hope if you can figure out what's causing it to be buggy. Does Lexicon, the company, offer assistance? Since Michael (the reverb author) left they seem to be very hands-off with regard to this plugin.

Lexicon pretty clearly doesn't feel motivated to help resolve this. One update in the last 3 years.

I have reported this issue many times and offered to help troubleshoot it with them but they take forever to reply if they reply at all.

Sigh. This is what happens when big corporations like Harman buy smaller companies for the name and branding.

I Can confirm I also have issues with the PCM reverb causing freezes and takes forever to load. Never seems to crash my system, but everything takes ages to load.

96 gig ram...

Maybe you need more ram?
