Default Track Ball

Hi all,

Can any one recomend a good track ball to use with PT. I would rather get one that does not need any software to make it run, (to cut down on any extra extensions) if poss. Oh and where and how much

Thanx for your time

Cheers

After going through *many* brands and designs over the years I've been very happy for some time now with the MS Trackball Explorer (USB) -- about $70 at most retail and mail order outlets.

It's all optical, so there's no cleaning of rollers, gears, and rubber wheels that so plagued earlier trackballs. It also has a thumb wheel. *Very* dependable -- cross platform.

Good luck

I second that emotion. Great price, great quality. Much better than the Kensington I use at work. It uses rubber that gets gummed up daily. Optical is KING!

I'm all for the MS optical unit as well. I've been using one for more than six months on a daily basis and no problems
