Freezing just a Region?

Is it possible just to Freeze a region and not the entire track?

I tried highlighting just the region I wanted to Freeze, But Freezing seems to affect the entire track.

I don't think so, you can use audiosuite instead

Try duplicate track deselecting playlist
Drop region there and freeze.

That would first require you have ability to have plugins instantiated on a region basis, but you don't. Therefore, use the best workaround that suits you.

Well, I figured since a Track is made up of Regions, I thought, may be there's an option to process a region(s) rather than the entire track.

As said, freeze is global to track not to a region. Workarounds available. My favourite is creating a print track and just recording there.
