tracks wont play (voice selector problem)

tracks wont play (voice selector problem)

just got some files back that were recorded on an hd system to mix on my 002, the little (a) next to the rec light in the channel is highlighted dark blue on some tracks and these wont play, all the waveforms are there but i cannot make the (a) go back to the gray colour it should be, i know this is a dumb question but please help.
