Hey Tom,

That is great, I hope that they take care of you and the new works out. I guess I am one of the lucky 410 users that got a "good" one.

Hopefully the unit I get back will be as solid as the one I'm using right now.
... and if not??

(inside joke, guys. It's my 1814 he's using)

Well you DID say to hang on to it until I was sure mine was working right.

Seriously though, I'm going to call M-Audio on Monday and find out the status. This time I'm going to talk to repairs directly and make sure they understand the difference between your 1814 and mine.

Well I just took delivery of an 1814 from M-Audio. After borrowing an 1814 from a friend (that has worked flawlessly for almost 2 weeks now) I shipped mine off to M-Audio and let them know they had a defective unit. It wasn't drivers, Pro Tools, or 10.4.10 - it was simply defective. When I opened the box today there wasn't a scrap of documentation about what was done - just an 1814 in bubble wrap. I called M-Audio to find out what was done to my 1814 and was told that the technician just replaced the whole unit.

So far, so good.
