8.0.3 Full Download. Am I missing something?

I recently had to reinstall pro Tools in order to fix an issue I was having with the creative collection that comes bundled with Pro Tools. I wanted to install 8.0.3 and then upgrade to 8.0.4 as opposed to 8.0 from my disc to 8.0.3 to 8.0.4.

I have no LE downloads available in my Avid account so I filed a support ticket. In response I received a digi delivery of 8.0.3, installed it (fixed my problem btw), and was told that tech support did not deal with the Avid Accounts and to file another ticket with customer support.

I filed the ticket with customer support. After more than a week I get a response that says because I got an LE install disc bundled with my Eleven Rack, I would not have upgrade full installers in my account. I sent them a response that said it was unacceptable because I cannot always wait 2 days to receive a digi delivery.

Does customer support, in this case, just not understand why full install downloads of updates are needed? Does anyone know how long my initial digi delivery will be valid? Has anyone ever heard this before? Am I crazy for wanting a full download? DigiSupport can you help?

I think you're being insanely unreasonable. You already had the tools to do what you needed, and yet Digi actually went the extra step to send you something you didn't really need or deserve, and then you complain about it.

btw, this isn't a complaint, I'm just genuinely curious if every one who got LE bundled with there Hardware does not have full installers in their Avid accounts.

The reason I needed 8.0.3 was to install over snow leapard.

Avid support did me right. Thanks to them!

Wait... it doesn't make any sense to me.

If you register your copy of Pro Tools 8... do you not automatically get the 8.0.3 full installer in your Avid account? I don't see why it should matter if you have the 11R or an MBox.
