Default Mixing cores?

Have any of you ever successfully mixed one D24 core and one MixCore for PT inputs? Right now we use 2 D24 cards, going to 4 9-gig Cheetahs. We're thinking about 1/2 an upgrade if it's possible to get it to work w/o problems, IOW we'd like to get away with buying one MixCore and replacing one of our D24's, keeping the other D24, not making the complete upgrade right now. Do you think it would work?

Thanks

Jason Ritchie

Default Re: Mixing cores?

This should work fine - the d24 can be used for I/O and also the mixer plug-in. Put the MIX core card in the first PCI slot for running the DAE engine, then the d24 card in the next slot for I/O and mixer, then other farm cards.
