O.T. (TV Music Rates)

Hello, folk, I need some advice, please.
I'm going to license some music to a small TV Network and I'm not sure how and how much to charge.
If you can give me an idea of how it goes in your area, not Hollywood, then I could use that as a starting point and factor in "economy of scale".
There are about six pieces. One is for a "Station ID", and there are a few for News, Sports,Weather .... that sort of thing.
The Station ID should carry a higher fee, right?
Any and all ideas are welcome.

Congrats on your success.

You didn't give your location but I would first try to find a music supervisor (network or independent) in a locale near you who have a rate handle on your general area, (check the end rolls of some local programing for names). I'd also go up the food chain if perhaps your small network is affiliated with a larger one.

Next I would check with music publishers who might be familiar with the going rate of themes, spots and bumpers. They usually don't like to take on "start-ups" but you're different, you already have something sold.

Third, I would call the nearest musicians union and speak with an electronic media rep. If there isn't anyone knowledgeable near you I'd check with John Acosta at Local

Thanx for the congratulations, though in advance. The deal isn't sealed yet. The chap has agreesd to listen to the mateial .... it's a start.

I am in the Caribbean. The Union here is fledgling, so an Electronic Media rep is yet to be appointed.

BTW, what is a "bumper"? I've never heard that term before.
