firewire confusion with 002
ok so i was looking at digidesigns required/recommended page and was getting a bit worried about the firewire element with the 002. Am i correct in thinking that if i purchase the firewire PCI card that they recommend then i can plug the 002 into the first firewire port and then plug a firewire harddrive into the second firewire port and i can record audio to th firewire drive and use it as a audio drive only??? is this what they are recommending? They mentioned something about hooking the firewire drive into the PCI card and then hooking the 002 into the firewire on that...just a little confused. Can someone tell me if what i am thinking is the case or set me straight. Thanks.

Re: firewire confusion with 002
Most firewire cards these days have at least two ports.... If you have a firewire card with two ports, you should connect the Digi002 into one and the hard-drive into another. I've not yet been able to do testing of the Digi002 connected into a firewire hub so I couldn't answer that or anything about sharing firewire. But the rule of thumb is, keep them separate or seperate... dang it, I can never remember how to spell that dang word!!!!!!!!
