Default Type 11 Bounce to Disk error

Hi,

When a bounce to disk is almost completed and the conversion process is starting (convert after bounce), I'm getting a Type 11 Pro Tools quit every time. No bounced files are created. It's happened twice now. I'm bouncing a 24/44.1 session to Redbook.

Any ideas? I tried the Answerbase, but it's only mentioning OS 7.6 issues, which I'm not runnning.

PT|24 MIX
PT 5.1.1
OS 9.2.2

An error type 11 is a miscellaneous hardware exception error.

Apple's suggetions for troubleshooting.

First off, trash these prefs: DigiSetup, DigiTest, DAE (the whole folder), Finder, Pro Tools. See if that clears it up.

If you still have a problem, I would check your disks with as many disk utilities as you have (Apple's, Norton, DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, etc.).

If they check out, run DigiTest. Also, try maxing out your DSP if DigiTest claims your cards are OK. I've found that maxing out the DSP is the only true way to test the cards in some situations. DigiTest doesn't test everything on the card.

Try allocating more memory to the Pro Tools application as well as DAE. Type 11's are usually memory related.
