Mac AAX-DSP brick wall limiter? bonus points for 5.1 operation

Hi all

Any suggestions for a Mac AAX-DSP brick wall limiter?

I own a bunch of Native AAX ones, but in some situations a AAX-DSP version would be handy

not multiband, just a regular one.

I like Fab Filter Pro-L2 a lot if that helps.... (that is Native of course)

bonus points for 5.1 operation - but that may not exist... ?

Avid Pro Limiter. Does 5.1, is True Peak, has an integrated LUFS meter, and sounds great.

plugin alliance bx_limiter is cheap and pretty basic but to my ears sounds decent

how does it differ sonically, generally, than the (included) Avid Pro Limiter?
I'm not wild about the interface of the Avid Pro Limiter....... at a glance.

and.... do you happen to know if it does 4.0 and 5.0 and 5.1?

I’m pretty lazy when it comes to limiters. I’ve just been chucking them on busses for the sake of safety. ISL2 to me at least is exceptionally clean. It doesn’t seem to stomp on the transients in as noticeable a way as the Pro Limiter. The interface in some ways is more similar to Pro L, but kinda different again.

It supports surround formats including 7.1.2. It’s a DSP hog though. Give it a demo. From memory a single 7.1.2 DSP instance uses one whole HDX chip.

I just discovered that the Flux Limiter vsn 3 includes AAX-DSP, and costs only $79 to buy (!)
