Thanks for bringing up the iOS stuff, not sure if there's a correlation but it's not impossible.
Yes, everything.
Got pretty pissed off by troubleshooting in the end.
Have worked very well since.

Update on issue: Avid sent out an email about this stating they are aware of this and that iOS 13 was indeed the culprit and its isolated to Sierra 10.12. They said they’re working on this and noted that updating to high Sierra would rectify the issue. Also not to plug into iOS 13 devices into you Mac. Supposedly they’re working on a fix for the problem but that’s where they left it.

Anyone have a fix aside from updating?

I had this exact same issue and just found a fix that worked for myself. I went to my plugins folder and moved all the izotope plugins into the “plugins (unused)” folder (or whatever temp folder you like). Then I fired up Pro Tools and loaded a session. Then quit pro tools, put the plugins back in the folder and started up again and it worked. So stupid, but a lot less painful then reinstalling everything.

Hey guys!

I'm having a similar issue but with PT 2021 and Izotope RX8. After some trial and error (trashing some of the AAX files and rebooting) I found out that the plugin last displayed isn't the plugin that's crashing PT!

In my case it was the iZRelayHook.aaxplugin but the scan ran up until 5 to 6 plugins further. That's why it keeps showing a different plugin when you trash the plugin that was displayed last.

I don't know why this iZRelay thing keeps crashing my PT nor what it is for but I reached out to the iZotope support and I'll keep you updated!
