Hey everyone,
I know there is probably a simple answer to this, but suddenly, our ability to right-click on a region is gone, as well as our ability to Control-click. It works on every other program on the mac, and it was working on Pro Tools until very recently. We trashed our preferences to no avail. We are running a Dual 2.3 Ghz PowerPC G5, OSX 10.4.11, ProTools HD3 v 7.4 Any suggestions? |

Getting this, too - but very rarely.
What always helped so far was to quit PT and restart it.

Can you test this from a new admin account and let us know if anything changes?

I've seen things like this ever since 8.0, including 8.0.4 - including, but not limited to -
- "Enter" key would stop creating new memory location points - "Delete" key would stop deleting regions (menu commands worked) - Solo buttons would stop working - Could not move regions with grabber or drag new ones from region list (but could nudge them if they were on a track) - Could not quit Pro Tools (if on a control surface, "a dialog is on screen" but happens w/o control surfaces too) - Sticky -9013/9031 error when trying to play (sometimes bad fallout from a -9060 error) It's as if part of the app simply stops working. No crash is indicated, and a restart of Pro Tools (no reboot necessary) always fixes these problems (the exception being "Pro Tools can't quit" where I always reboot the machine after a force quit). I sure wish Avid could provide some sort of mouse-trap to catch bugs like this - I'd be happy to set one up <g>. -Danny Caccavo |
