Default RMX drums not syncing with internal click track

Hi. I'm running a TDM Mac system, and need to delve into Midi for first time. So I set up a synth playing a one-bar loop, taking midi time-code from Protools, and it seems to record fine and dandy as both midi and audio. Imagine my horror when I left it running for 5 minutes, to discover that the longer it runs, the more out of time it gets with the internal click track. AND, same happens with my imported RMX drum midi files. They all run fine for first couple of minutes, and then start to drift (except SOME of the RMX files stay with the click). Is there some setting I've screwed up? Might not having it set to GRID initially have caused this? Or something in Beats/Bars?

Where is the internal click coming from? An audio track? You need to choose your tempo first before you start doing stuff and stick to the grid. With 6.7 they introduced tick based audio so you could change the tempo of the whole track, even the audio files since they are based on the ticks of the grid. Set your grid mode to bars|beats and see if your click sticks to the grid, if it is off then this is your problem.

Thanks for that. Turns out the RMX files are all slightly different lengths, tho they look identical at most zooms, when you zoom in real close there are tiny differences that magnify over time. Doesn't explain my synth lines also slipping tho, so will try this tip. Much obliged.
