Default Mixing and delay compensation

Hi,

I'm just finishing up an album that was entirely recorded with Pro Tools M-Powered. The raw tracks sound phenomenal and Pro Tools has made it a breeze to record. The only part I'm dreading is mixing it in Pro Tools. Once recording is completed, I'm going to edit it in Pro Tools, and then I'm seriously considering on exporting the Wav files so that I can import them into Cubase 4, mix it in Cubase and not have to worry about delay compensation. Though I'd really prefer to mix it all in Pro Tools. I'll be using UAD-1 cards (read the UAD-1 tutorials on delay comp on their website) and Waves plugins for the processing.

I was wondering if those who have done complex mixes in Pro Tools would share their mixing strategies on how they deal with delay compensation as they are mixing. Like I stated, I'd much prefer to mix this project with Pro Tools as long as it doesn't lead to me pulling my hair out every time I add a plug-in and have to worry about shifting all of my audio tracks to stay in synch. Very interested in hearing from people that have done some fairly complex mixes using either M-Powered or LE. Thanks!

Lots of info in this other post.

In the works.

...you'll still be pulling your hair out regardless. Unfortunately.
