Default Keeping selection highlighted when stopping play

I'm editing a region of audio and looping it but when I stop play I have to reselect the region. Is there a shortcut so when you stop play the region stays highlighted? I know if you select Link Timeline and Edit Selection ,it will stay selected but then it won't loop. I hope this makes sense. Thanks

Just press the letter 'N' and for looping is number 4.

I'm not having a problem looping. It's when you stop play the selection is not highlighted anymore. Thanks

Enable 'Link Timeline and Edit Selection' select loop and then disable 'Link Timeline and Edit Selection' and enable 'Link Track and Edit Selection'.

That's how I've been doing it but I thought there should be a faster way. Maybe a keyboard command you can use while selecting the region. I know with HD you can do it but not sure how with LE.

"Timeline insertion follows playback" sounds like your problem here. It can be adjusted in the prefences window, or if you have command focus mode on (the "A...Z" in the Edit window, next to Tab to Transient and all that), you just need to press the "N" key.

I just press shift and forward slash together, to toggle the selection play mode. It will always play the same loop no matter what my next selection point is.

You could click the Audio Region in the Bin.
