Default Fader "jump out"

In Pro Tools 10 there is a way to make a "copy" of any Fader jump out and stand alone—but I forgot how to do that.

Could anyone please tell me how to make any Fader jump out on its own?

Many thanks,
Dan

Hi, it's the little fader icon at the right side of the output channel setting of each track on the Mix window. Same place it's always been I believe.

Now I have forgotten…after I get one Fader to jump out…how do I get a second Fader, then a third Fader, etc. to jump out? Or, can you only have one jump out a ta time?

You want to deselect the 'command target' button, I beleive it's called. Any floating window like a track fader or a plugin has this little red dot that looks like a target, that if you deselect it, it won't disappear when you activate a new 'floating window'.

Try Shift+Click on the next Fader you want to open.

Thank you, sir! That's a hard bugger to remember.
I have a PostIt note on it now.

Chris—or anybody,

It's been a few years since I wrote down your answer—but it has been so long that I cannot remember the steps to take to perform the action. I read the words but I cannot find where to click.

I cannot find "…the little fader icon at the right side of the output channel setting…"

If you are around, please help.
