Default Transfer of Ownership - Problem With Website

hi there,

I am having trouble registering my PT8LE which I got second hand with code and eleven rack. I got a transfer of ownership form from the seller but when I tried to submit everything here:

http://avid.force.com/Support/RegistrationCaseCreation

..I got problems. A screen with a padlock appears and says 'authorzation required'. I have an account with avid and was logged in but can't see the problem as it loses all the form data and doesn't seem to submit it!

I think this is a problem with the avid website as the form appears broken.

Thanks
Mark

I would try a different browser and/or make sure you have cookies enabled.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem today! I log into my Avid Account. Then I go to the Registration Case creation page (http://avid.force.com/Support/RegistrationCaseCreation)

After filling out the online form and attaching the scanned Transfer of Ownership form (pdf) I click the 'Send' button and get to the page with the padlock saying 'authorzation required'

Tried different browsers (Mac: Safari and Firefox, Win7, IExplorer9) Cookies are enabled.

I sold my Eleven Rack and want to transfer the ownership... what can I do now?
There is no other way to contact Avid!?

Thanks in advance for any help!

This is ridiculous, problem still not fixed, is there anyone at Avid who realises that their transfer of ownership web page is broken when you submit the info??

Default Ridiculous Avid - Just Ridiculous

So I purchased a second hand eleven rack with pro tools 8 le licence and got a nice transfer of ownership form to submit to Avid. Easy enough except the registration transfer web form does not work. It goes to an error screen every time. However Avid are an impossible Company to just send an email to. I have searched for a support email address and can't find it. The registration case web form is broken, it does not work when you press submit yet it appears that there is no other way of contacting support unless you have a support plan or something. Am I missing something here?

My problem is also described here and I am not the only one: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=338215

Any fellow Eleven rack users know how to contact Avid about this problem?

What browser are you using?

Try it with Chrome or Firefox and it should go through.

I tried Chrome, firefox and IE, no good.

In the end I had to email a personal contact address I had with Avid that I found in relation to a query years ago about broken headphone cable.

Avid really need to get their act together as if I never had this email address I would still be waiting for a resolution and banging my head up against the wall of this forum.

Windows Explorer 32 bit works. select it in the start menu. the one that doesn't say 64 bit is the one you want.

Sounds like you got your issue solved, but we'll look into the problem with the form. Sorry for the trouble.
