There are no drivers included with PT9.

All the new drivers are separate downloads. Should work fine without installing PT9.

To clarify, is there a stand-alone core audio driver that works under snow leopard, so my applications (record/reason) recognize the digi 002r?

Thanks.

@Dism; Well yes, I did read the WHOLE thread and it seems that the stand alone core audio driver (8.03) does not resolve the issue. My initial question was whether an install of PT 9 would correct the issue.

Then you replied with:
"There are no drivers included with PT9.

All the new drivers are separate downloads. Should work fine without installing PT9."

So my question remains open as to if YOU or anyone else has core audio working under snow leopard, where can I find that version, because 8.03 still creates issues. I've searched the avid/digi site and have not seen an updated stand alone core audio version that will work with snow leopard.

And yes, looked at the first 2 pages of the thread and didn't see a direct link to the most current stand alone core audio driver for snow leopard.

I'm not yet running PT on a mac mini system. If i were too, i would jump in and PT9, but since you said there are no additional drivers, how would core audio work under snow leopard for my other applications?

thanks.

The link:

http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...3=1450&Hilite=

These are all version 9 drivers for all the current and previous generation LE devices.

According to DTS, they all work standalone, without Pro Tools installed.

PT9 itself does not include drivers, so these must be installed in order for any of these interfaces to work. I have the MBox 2 drivers, as well as the 002 drivers and I have verified that they both work fine standalone with the latest versions of Record/Reason.

There is no need to be concerned about 8.0.3 drivers for Snow Leopard, as they are irrelevant now.

These are the new drivers.

@Dism;
Yup, that worked! Thank you for your help and support.

Anyone else out there who may be reading this and is encountering core audio issues under snow leopard, the drivers for PT9 corrected the issue.
