Default is it possible to NODE computers with PT?

silly question, but it's always crossed my mind.

is it possible to node 2 computers in ProTools? i've read that Logic is capable of doing this, so you can use processing from another machine...

"?"

thanks!
peace.

No, Pro Tools does not have this capability.

Yo C-Man! Funny to see a post of yours on the DUC.

Midi over LAN is definitely cool. The composers at the studio I work at have used it a bit w/ their PC's.

I haven't heard anything about Pro Tools supporting midi over LAN yet. Could be wrong. I'll see what I can find.

And yea, I don't think pro tools will allow you to node together computers anytime soon. Would be nice. But check out those new apple machines! Even a new intel imac would probably smoke my dual G5!

Talk soon.

P.S. I'm still getting those weekly texts from you in case you haven't taken me off the list yet!
Talk soon, dude. Peace
-D

yo D;
What up?!!!

sorry if i texted you earlier.. i did get your message... whoops.

i'm trying to maximize the most out of my machine (DP 867).

do you know if Tiger had any significance of processing usage/power?

i've been thinking about getting an intel mac mini just for the hell of it at this point... any issues that you know of running PT?

hope all is well.

peace yo.
