Linking 2 computers (1 Logic the other Pro-Tools)
Is this possible... I've read it's possible for 2 pro-tools systems to work together on 2 computers.... is it possible for Logic on one and Pro-Tools on the other? I love some things about logic.... but other things I hate.. It would be cool is I could link them together... is it possible?

Re: Linking 2 computers (1 Logic the other Pro-Tools)
Not sure that this helps, but I remember having Cubase running on my G3 minitower at the same time as ProTools(with digi001) and I had the 2 programs communicating with the IAC bus for MIDI and maybe rewire for audio?? I might be imagining the rewire thing...
Anyway, if you just want access to Logic and don't necessarily need the power of 2 different computers then maybe you could rewire logic into PT.. I know Live and Reason will rewire so maybe... I'll be curious to hear if this is possible...

To do it with 2 computers, MIDI Time Code is the key. I wouldn't really recommend it though, you're looking at a lot of headaches. |

Re: Linking 2 computers (1 Logic the other Pro-Tools)
I got it up and running and it's amazing but I need to know the setting... MTC doesnt help that much... can I get a more in detail explaination cuz ive been messing with them together heres my rig
G5 quad 2.5 002 rack protools LE 7.4 G5 dual 2.3 002 Mixer Logic 8 I have a motif es6 in and out to the 002 rack (quad) then out of the rack midi out 2 I have that sent to the 002 mixer midi in 1... so that I can use my motif with protools and logic at the same time then I can record midi in both logic and protools then I from logic output 1 and 2 to the 002 rack and have that as an AUX in for the logic sounds whats next to slave logic from protools?
