HEEELP! Digi 002 and Logic 7 Pro

I have a Digi 002, I just upgraded to pro tools 7.0 running on a G5 quad (OSX 10.4). I also have Logic 7.2 pro and was HOPING to use the digi was my interface. So far- no good. I upgraded the firmware.

I need a fix for my problem! Logic 7 recognizes that the digi is there... it is in the "audio hardware" section and I have it selected as my hardware. However, Logic does not use it... I can move channel 8 on the board and it is the only one that moves on screen. Pro Tools works fine. What should I do? I see all sorts of conflicting advice but nothing that solves this problem.

Core Audio is downloaded from the PT 7 disk and pops up when logic started.

Try launching the CoreAudio manager before you launch Logic.

Can I ask why you want to use Logic and not Pro Tools with your 002? I am looking at leaving Logic.

I upgraded to the latest version of PT and logic and it seems sort of fixed now. But logic doesn't actually use the digi board right... only one channel actually works. There seems to be quite a bit of latency when playing live instruments...

Why do I want to use logic? That's a good question... I needed a program that could handle midi synths better. I have reason but it wasn't cutting it for me. Besides, I can record all my tracks in pro tools and master it in logic... the mastering suite is pretty cool.


Anyway... I still see a problem here unless I am totally dumb. Logic is using the digi 002 fine but I can't actually use the faders (not really a big deal).

Anyone know about this digi 002/ logic latency issue?
