Default Level Meter Question

I have looked for the answer to this question but have not been able to find the answer anywhere.

How can I view the numeric value of the signal level for my track input in ProTools along with the Green/Yellow/Red indicators? i.e. -6dB.

Ctrl-click the "vol" display under the fader.

But doesn't that just give me the location of the fader?

The default is the fader location. Ctrl-click will give you the max meter level until you left-click the "vol" display under the fader. Ctrl-clicking again will display plug-in induced delay. Ctrl-clicking a third will return the display to fader location.

Just thought I'd throw this handy meter plugin out there... Inspector.
Price is right.

It's a goody. If you happen to have the VST wrapper, there's another free one that beats the pants off Inspector: SPAN by Voxengo.

It's RTAS also.

Sorry, read it wrong. Thought you were saying Inspector was only VST. Teach me to post first thing in the morning!
