Default Reason 8.1 not showing up in Pro tools 10.3.8
I have been running Reason 8.1 with Pro tools 10.3.8 for over a year now and everything was running efficiently and smoothly until last week.I remember opening up a ableton session that i never used or opened before. It asked for many things I did not have. was just curios to see if it would open. I opened up a Pro tools session in10 and Reason 8 is missing in the Plug ins folder. tried many things(trashed "installedaaxplugins", trashed reason preferences, trashed dae preferences, reinstalled reason 8.1. re installed, Pro tools 10.3.8) to date to remedy the situation to no avail. Need real help.

I have Pro tools 10.3.8 and Pro Tools 12.4 OS 10.9.3 and Mbox 3, Mbox 2 Pro.

Default Reason 8.1 not showing up in Pro tools 10.3.8
I wonder if Reason got switched to 64 bit. Follow the directions in the link I post to put Reason in 32 bit mode. Run Reason as standalone, then quit Reason and run Pro Tools. See if your problem is fixed.

Thanks for responding. I tried that, to no avail. I did reinstall reason and Pro tools 10.3.8. I was told that maybe it's the sequence that I did the reinstall. I should re install pro tools then reason. Any thoughts...

Did you trash all the prefs? Follow the instructions for PT10 and then start Pro Tools. It will have to recache all plugins and rewire instruments.

Will try that. I found this page earlier but i could not find the "com.avid.ProTools.plist". will give it another search now.

You may need to go to Propellerhead on this one. I know how to do the registry edit on Windows to fix Rewire issues, but I don't know how to do it on Mac OS. I think it requires editing a plist file but don't know what or where.

just bit me. have uninstalled as per sweet water once..

then installed 10.3.10

still the same missing...
