I'm not sure who in your marketing department thought it was good idea to release PT 10 before making 9 compatible with Lion. It's officially the worst marketing decision since New Coke... What exactly were you thinking? If you'd have released a version of 9 that works with Lion on the same day of the release of 10 you'd have not had near the backlash... To make it worse you're charging people $299 that may have just purchased your software 2 months ago... I defend Pro Tools more than anyone and this makes me want to throw up...

I agree. When I first heard about PT10 I thought, "awesome!" But, then I saw it would cost me to $299.00 to upgrade???? I just cross-graded from PT8 to 9 in August and that cost me $249.00. I feel like I'm being treated like a brand new customer to Pro tools.

I haven't even had the chance to get 9 yet, and now 10 is out. Wow. Good job Avid. I'm running 8 right now. Call me when 9 or 10 is fully compatible with Lion. I don't even want to upgrade now. I'll stay on my Leopard and Snow Leopard machines w/ 8 until you guys get it figured out.

If I were you I would just wait until 11 comes out next year. That's what I intend to do... if I can afford it....
