using a second soundcard...
this stems from seeing all the trouble people are having running Reason with this seemingly fickle ASIO driver for the 001.
I'm still waiting for my QS G4-867 to get setup (I'm switching from PC) but as my old PC died on me, I was able to retrieve the M-Audio 2496 that was in it. I used that card to run all my other audio programs, including Reason, then routing the outputs into the 001 when needed. Is this a common thing to do on the Mac side as well? I know it seems like a silly question but it's just that I haven't read too many references to the 2 soundcard setup here on the Mac side. I know that an ASIO driver for the 001 is great (well, when it works) but how many of you prefer to just use another ASIO compatible card instead? My point being, should I install that 2496 into my new Mac when I get it or should I just use the ASIO driver? Furthermore, is there an ASIO driver for the Digi002 as well or just for the 001(for now)? thanks for any comments.
