Default Anyone running Carbon successfully on a Hackintosh?

Anyone? If you were successful, what motherboard works? I'm wondering about ethernet chips in particular, seems like it might matter. TIA

I'm not guaranteeing this will work with AVB - but the claim is that this is the same chip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq9TTsgGWQE

I can't find anyone else who's got AVB working with a Hackintosh.

I can confirm my Mac Pro 7.1 shows "Apple AQC107-AFW" as the Ethernet card, which is the same model number (without the word 'Aquantia') as the one shown in the video. The kext does include the word 'Aquantia', so it's safe to assume this is the same card.

Thanks for the information. Just to be clear, you're not reporting any failure to get it working, just that you don't know of anyone who tried?

Correct - I just did a search and read some stuff. I'm not a Hack user myself nor do I know any personally.
I'm interested in AVB because I have a Carbon, and I find that there's very little information out there from Apple or anyone else about AVB in general.
I've been looking at Ethernet adaptors with a view to connecting the Carbon to an M1 Mac (either an MBAir or one of the upcoming, larger MBPros) which don't have Ethernet ports, and it's interesting and worrying that lots of Ethernet docks don't seem to support AVB. And once again, there's very little information about it. For example, the Caldigit TS3+ which is a well regarded multi-port hub with an Ethernet port, doesn't mention AVB, and I can't find a single reference to anyone even trying it. Caldigit's new 10G Ethernet adaptor DOES support AVB (which makes me assume the TS3+ does NOT) but even the 10G adaptor has absolutely no information available regarding AVB, other than that it supports it.

Runs smoothly here on Thunderbolt 3 with Apple USB-C to TB2 + TB2 to Ethernet Adapters.

So the original question was - what motherboard do you have that works?

Gigabyte Z490 Vision D but Ethernet ports do not work with Carbon. Only adapters on usb-c

I must run my SoundGrid interface with a USB3 to Ethernet adaptor because of incompatibility with Intel's Ethernet chips.

I tried with the Sonnet Solo 10G card,
Carbon shows up but disconnects after about a minute till the next reboot and I gave up on it (normal ethernet worked fine though).
This is on a Gigabyte z390 gaming x motherboard, both Catalina and Big Sur.
Will probably try installing a Titan Ridge Thunderbolt card next.

You can use Carbon with your normal Ethernet ports but it disconnects with the Sonnet Solo 10G PCIe card? I have the Gigabyte Z490 Vision D and I was thinking of getting that card but will probably hold off if that's the case. Did the Thunderbolt card work for you?
