Can Pro Tools 2019.12 be installed in Sierra OSX 10.12.6

Can Pro Tools 2019.12 be installed in Sierra OSX 10.12.6? Sierra is not listed as qualified in the Avid website.

You can try but as you found out Sierra is not qualified any longer in case you have trouble you're on your own. I would *guess* not much has changed since 2019.10 which is supported, and Avid just dropped Sierra because they added Catalina to the list of supported OS which have been three latest for quite some time.

Worked great! No issues at all on trashcans. Have used both Sierra and High Sierra without any problems. 2019.10 and 2019.12 same versions basically for what Sierra uses of the code.

when it will start making a difference is when Mojave (ie metal) becomes the minimum.. that will change things.. but then Mojave should work for years after that unless Avid decide to be extra difficult.. This is why I have settled on Mojave, as everything works including my virus.

Well I for one have rolled back from HS to Sierra just so I could keep using NI Reaktor 5 and Ozone 5. Would be nice if I could run 2019.12 on Sierra.

So it apparently works on trashcans but has anyone tried it on a 5,1 cheesesgrater?

I have a 5,1 cheese doodle and run 2019.6. haven't tried .12 in the studio. but .6 works like a dog for me day in and day out. I can't imagine .12 being that much different
