Dear Avid... "unable to create your account"

I'd be far more inclined to consider buying your software if you seemed a bit less concerned with your corporate image, and more concerned with whether a potential customer can even create an account with you.

I received the same email that no doubt many thousands of others did, in July this year. After signing up for the trial download, I waited a few weeks, received the "Ready for download" email, followed the link, and tried to create my master account. Once, twice, thrice, on and on and on and on... for days, and now weeks later, I still can't create it... getting the same message that, after having Googled to see if it was a common problem, found that quite a few people had the same issue, and that (for them at least) it still hadn't been resolved. The message in question :

"We were unable to create your account. Please ensure all required fields are filled in and try again."

...

Is there any likelihood that this will ever be fixed?
