No more TCE in 11 - what's a good alternative?

+1 I hope they bring back TC/E. I use it all the time as well... It would be a shame if they dumped it.

I did a test where I compared solo vocals and solo acoustic guitar with the default settings with EA versus TC/E both with X-form. In that test TC/E sounded quite a lot better. EA was ok, but it was a big difference in my opinion.

Bring TC/E back!

wow, this is shocking news to me. it's a tool i use every single day and as others have said, it's the ONLY ONE THAT WORKS ON DIALOG, period. all of the others will glitch. it's also fantastic at timing FX to picture, which i also do every single day.

i know this sounds crazy, but i can't image going forward without this tool as it's so incredibly important.

please, bring it back. can't update to 11 without it or something else that works as well and nothing else does.

I used EA in monophonic with only two warp markers (one at the beginning, one at the end of the file), and same goes for X-Form.

It's a pretty big stretch, so none sounds really good. But clearly, only TCE managed it without adding any huge artifacts. Does anyone disagree?

I think it sounds great in comparison. It's a shame Pitch 'N Time is not AAX yet.

I think one of Avid's best decisions during this transition to 11 was to allow a co-installation of PT10.

They said they would port over... And it's listed in Avid's menu already though greyed out. Lets hope it's soon.

Thanks, Justin. Thats nice, too. But it's $799 for a feature, that used to be included in PT with TCE...

I own Pitch 'n Time Pro with the V algorithm. It sounds great. However, on long selections it ALWAYS glitches. As mentioned before, TCE, with the right settings, is the only one that doesn't glitch under these circumstances. We need it ported to AAX.

This is a big mistake by avid, like everyone else has mentioned I also believe TC/E is the best for dialogue, and the lack of it on PT11 is making me think twice about the upgrade... I guess I'll be sticking with PT10 HD until they fix this!
