Default Midi tracks,

Hi everybody ,

I am completly new here and got a question .I need to bring midi tracks(or regions) into pro tools and then use instrument tracks so that I can assign different virtual instruments.I am using Miroslav Orchestra plug in for my sessions.
The question is ,how can I keep the original midi map ( volumes, veolcity, dynamics) from my original midi import while transfering everything on instrument tracks.I already brought the midi regions on instrument tracks and are working whitout problems. But I can't keep all the other atributes of my original midi work - velocity, tempo changes, etc

thank you for your help

When you import a MID file you get a dialog which asks if you want to use the tempo & meter from the MID file... velocity is always imported

Actually, you don't need instrument tracks at all.

Just create an Aux Input track for every plugin you want to use. Once you get the VI's inserted, then you can assign the MIDI outputs of your MIDI tracks to the individual plugins..

Right.. but if you drag a MIDI REGION from a MIDI track to an Instrument track you don;t lose the velocities, etc.. and the tempo is independent... make sure you have the conductor enabled and aren't in Manual tempo mode.

Thank you guys for your help.
Will try to aux my midi tracks and assign the plug ins on auxs
I've got 23 midi tracks of classical scoring and I'm using miroslav orchestra to give life to all those scores. The way I see it is that I will have to assign an instance of that orchestra plug in for every each of my midi tracks.Do you have any ideea if there is a way to bring all my tracks ( or part of them ) to the same plug in ί in my case miroslav orchestra plug in.Opening an instance of that plug in for 23 times is taking a lot of my cpu.

thanks once again.Laura

Just instantiate the plug-in once and assign all the MIDI track(s) to it.
