i hope its coming... from uaudio site :

"In order to improve the user experience of UAD-2 Powered Plug-Ins for RTAS users, RTAS is not supported for use with UAD-2 in version 5.0.0 of the UAD software. Getting RTAS support is a top priority, and rest assured official RTAS support will be available in a future free software update. We apologize to all RTAS users for the inconvenience. RTAS is supported in UAD version 5.0.0 for use with UAD-1 ONLY."

It looks like they may be trying to add true native support of the RTAS platform rather than having to wrap the plug ins. I saw that RTAS was not supported...yet but still thought this product was worth mentioning due to the single, dual, and quad configurations. Made me hope for something new from Digi.

Not only is there no RTAS yet but it's PCIe only, so our old G4s are no use with the UAD-2... And why oh why don't newer Macs have more than three PCI slots!? I'm going through all the possible solutions to my dilemma in my brain - New Mac/PCIe G5 + Magma and keep current PCI cards? New Mac/PCIe G5 + crossgrade to PCIe and chuck away the Process card, swap the UAD-1 to UAD-2 if/when RTAS support comes? etc.... It's expensive whichever I do!
