Last gasp - PT6 Mix+ OSX & Logic Audio?

I am wondering just how well my Mix+ PT6 Mix+ OSX

Will play ball with Logic Audio?

So Logic Audio on PT hardware Mix +

Will it work with Logic 6?

The latest Logic?

Is there one last version of Logic that DOES work?

For Logic, "don't buy HD", you are better off with the Mix3. I'm not sure what version is the latest version for that hardware though, have you checked the Apple site for compatibility?

I had Logic pro 7 on my old system, and it wa decent. But seems to run a lot better on the new system with Logic 7.2 and PT accel.
But I suspect that the main reason is the change from a dual 1.25 G4 to a dualcore 2.3 G5

Yes to Logic 6. Last version to run on Mix is 7.1 (7.2 requires 10.4.x) Have yet to try v7 as I bought 7.2 then found out it won't work! D'oh!! Not a major issue for me as I only got Logic so I could do edits and export files into PT the way I want them! I hate Logic.......

Logic 7 with hdaccel 3 caused me months of painful conversion of Logic songs to protools sessions...I also HATE logic 7.2 it aint worth the carton in which it is being shipped... TDM and Logic = NO GO - the only possitive thing about Logic is that it made me open my eyes for Protools - which IMO is the most awesome DAW I've ever - and I mean it - EVER - worked on)))

I've had the opposite experience. Logic 7.2.1 is working well for me with my PT HD6 system (2 Accel cards), PT 7.1cs8 and OS 10.4.6. Obviously, you need to do a careful installation and make sure everything is compatible. When you're using Logic to control PT, you are adding an extra level of complexity. It can be a very powerful tool, though, especially for those doing a lot with MIDI.

For Mix systems, you do need to use Logic 7.1 or earlier as another poster said, because Digidesign pulled the plug on Mix hardware software support.

Lee, are you syncing the two together? If so, how? There's been some discussion about doing only MIDI in Logic and audio in PT.
