Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
HI,
my system: Mac Pro Pro Tools HD 8.0.4 Mac Pro Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 Satellite My problem is, when I press play in Pro Tools and stop it, Pro Tools doesn't show me the frame which would be normally at this TC. It shows me the frame, which was the first frame of playing. The timecode does not jump, like the video. When I play it again, the video runs normally. When I used PT 8.0.3cs2 I didn't have this problem. I don't know what I can still do. Does anybody have the same problem? If you need more information for answering, please ass me. Thank you for your help. Matze |

Re: Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
I have the same problem, it's only when I click on the cursor at that time code does it show the correct location. I believe this is one of the several video bugs that hasn't been addressed by Avid yet.

Hi Nathan,
thank you for answering. So we can hope that AVID will fix this bug as soon as possible. Are you doing anything for working normally? Kind regards, Matze |

Re: Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
Are you sure you didn't have timeline insertion follows playback enabled?
If you have this enabled, the insertion point jumps to the stopping position. Otherwise, the stopping position is where you started. |

Hi,
I have tested all possible buttons. There were no success. |

Re: Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
Yes even when Timeline Insertion follows playback is enabled. Playing video then pressing stop, the video will always go back to it's starting position. ONLY the video does this though not the actual cursor on the timeline (whatever that line is called). Producers get confused because they think I went back to that position when all I did was press stop. It's weird.

Re: Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
I've found it works better if the satellite is in Slip mode, not Grid mode. Doesn't explain what you're experiencing, but it does make frame advancing and stopping on a certain frame more accurate

I've the same problem when the satellite works in SLIP mode. There are no differences between SLIP and GRID.

Thank you for your help, but does anybody have an other answer, how to solve this problem?

Re: Video Satellite PT 8.0.4 Video Problems
this is frustrating to me to because the only way to get around it is to use your cursor to click where you pressed stopped so that satellite shows about the correct location. Doesn't matter the mode I'm in on either system always does it.
