is there a miami / ft.lauderdale user group?

As one who lived in Miami for 10 years... before moving to the other Bizarro Land (in a much different way) Nashville, I laughed my head off at that comment!

I'm possibly relocating from Nashville to Miami in the near future. I've been in the Nashville chapter of Bizarro Land for over 20 years - can any members of the 'southern chapter' hip me to things to expect down there?

Oh, there are so many new and strange things you will experience here.

First of all you won't need to go to the grocerey store because at the intersections, venders will come to your car and sell you food, water, flowers, stuffed animals, Live animals, small children, and something called Churro's.

Dodging road debris on I95 is always fun. I swear that within a 10 mile stretch I saw an overstuffed chair, - ok, so it was off to the side the hiway, but later in the middle of I95 was a carboard box the size of, well, the size of box that an overstuffed chair might come in. And of course the usual assortment of backpacks, and vairous articles of clothing.

Oh, and here's something. As you're driving around Nashville, I want you to observe and think about the oldest people that you see. And now think of all the most elderly people in all of Tenn.

i can tell you one thing about miami..throw a rock and you will hit a guy that has a recording studio.

Hell, in Nashville you can throw a rock and hit 4 or 5 studios...I should be right at home!

Miami is a very nice place to live..... if you are prepared for an assortment of oddities coming your way. I've moved to Miami over 10 years ago and since then Miami has evolved to be a major US city with a Latin American feel (well.... it could be the other way around.... not sure) but the reality is that you'll find it very curious to say the least.
If you're open minded, this is not the city for you, the main focus here is to overthrown Castro, especially if you are not Cuban, they will torture you with stories of horror down there and ask you why our president have not done anything about it.
On a better note, I can tell you that the PT community here has grown a lot on the past couple of years, there are a couple of options where to buy it and also where to get support. The studios here are 100% PT compatible.
I'm sure you'll find lots of people to create a user group!
