Plugin-problems on laptop

Hi! I recently purchased a laptop, Hp 9420, pt7.3.1 is running fine on it but the as soon as I open an instance of dyn3 compressor the playback stops and I get an error message -6086... If Iclose the plugin-window, with the compressor still enabled, everything is fine but as soon as I open it the problem is back?? The same goes for sony oxford reverb but in this case I can have the window open but I can't change any values in the plugin without getting the error message... My other sony plugins works fine though... Anyone else with this problem?

That laptop is another Core 2 duo system isn't it?

Yes it is. I find it a little strange that all the other sony plugins works like a charm but not the reverb

*Please Note: Models that offer Intel Core 2 Duo laptop processors (codename Merom) are currently not officially supported or qualified with Digidesign products. Currently only the Intel Core 2 Duo desktop processors (codename Conroe) have been qualified.

And yet they say that this laptop is qualified just a few lines down??? It is only these two plugins that's been causing trouble so far, pro tools runs just fine otherwise.

ah, my bad.. they're talking about a core duo version. It doesn't seem to exist anymore... Hmm, guess I'll have to wait and hope for an update or something

Hi henke... I just bought the same laptop hp nx9420 and have experienced the same problem as you with the -6086 error code. Is it only dyn 3 plug ins that have this problem or have you come across any more?. Dyn 3 is all i have ;( . For a while I thought I was going to return my new bought laptop. Have you been able to solve it?
