Default Importing ptf sessions to PT 10

Sorry if this is a redundant question. But most of the information surrounding .ptf and .ptx extensions is converting .ptx files to .ptf format.

How do you import a session done in PT 8 M-Powered (.ptf) into ProTools 10.3.10?

You just open it and save as .ptx which is what pt10 is going to be using later on. Then, if you need to get it back to legacy system, you need to save as .ptf again because older than pt10 don't recognize .ptx format.

as Janne said it should just open
in rare cases you need to make a new session and import the old session into the new by ether Drag and Dropping the old session onto the new Timeline ore using the Import Session Data command
