Default Window Configurations - useful?

I finally had a chance to play around with these a bit, but didn't find anything really useful about them. What I WANTED to do can't be done with them. Here's what I wanted to do:

1. Create two identical window configs for editing a particular midi track.
2. One set would show the notes view and the other would show Controller 1 automation
3. Switch back and forth between the two window configs to edit notes or controller info.

The current version of this doesn't seem to support anything but window sizing and placement - no window details. It wouldn't even retain whether it was a region view or a notes view, let alone which automation parameter was visible.

I think this feature needs more development - but it's a start.

Is anyone finding a use for the window sizing configs NOW? I don't think it does much else, unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, for a single screen setup, configrations of VI's and plugs are brilliant. In fact I find it even better linking the Window Configurations with Memory Locations, this way Track Height, Show/Hide Tracks, Zoom Settings, etc., are all combined into one.

And yes, your right, Track View settings are not supported by either Windows Configurations or Memory Locations. Hopefully, there will be some amendments.
