gladly... I get asked a lot about this stuff and the article does a pretty good job of explaining:

Permissions Repairing
Isolating Corrupt Prefs
Cache & Log clearing
Prebinding
UNIX Cron tasks
Defragging, etc.

no...i don't think so..corrupt prefs a maybe a problem too (PreferentialTreatment) and for defragging i did it the old way...backup my projects and format my audio disk (lacie250G) with zeros...
then dragging my projects back to my audio drive...done
